Now, I have nothing against The Game but sometimes this dude just talks to hear himself talk. With his LAX album coming out it was only fitting for The Game to say something outlandish to pump up his record.

The Game: I would be the toughest competition he had…well, Nas was his toughest, he didn’t win the war against Nas. Nas dropped “Ether” and that was it. Everyone knows Nas won that beef. But I’ve never lost a beef. Jay-Z, he has chinks in his armor still from that Nas beef. Other than that, we can do it. I’ve 100 percent won all my beefs. Me, LL, Nas and probably only a couple of other cats can claim that. I killed the biggest group in hip-hop single-handedly. On Dr. Dre’s Detox
Complex: He mentioned that Jay-Z, Nas, and Wayne might be on the album. Do you think you’d be on there if you and 50 didn’t have your situation?

The Game: I don’t really care about being on Detox. I don’t think Dre can finish Detox without having me on it, man. I’m the West Coast—I am the West Coast. You can’t do anything on the West Coast without involving myself, my name, or my brand. For me not to be a part of Detox, Dre would be doing himself an injustice, not me.

I’ve been highly anticipating this album for quite some time, and my excitement only increased when I discovered that Kanye was executive producing it. Now I’m not sure whether Yeezy is actually directing this project, or just attaching his name to provide 88-Keys with more exposure, but either way this should be dope! LA has Krumpin’, NY got Breakin’, the ATL has Tickin’ & Bootyshakin’, and Chicago got Jukin & Footworkin’. Out of all of these dance cultures/artforms, footworkin’ is the only one that hasn’t gained mainstream exposure. I won’t try to explain the reasons why because I’m not sure myself, but I will share this post with ya’ll. I found this video of tryouts for Dude N’ Em’s music video for their song “Watch My Feet”. I’m sure most of you, if any, have never heard of this song……..I hadn’t either lol. But these tryouts is the best way to explain the dancing aspect of Chi-town Jukin’. Lykke Li is known for being very intimate with her performances and using sparse instrumentation.
