Ah, once upon a time I felt ahead of the curve when I purchased the first generation MacBook Pro. I would walk with my chin high and smirk at the lesser laptops, commenting on their ridiculous bulk and outdated features. Everything was going so good until Apple announced the NEW MacBook Pro *sigh*. This thing is beautiful, and as Apple puts it “New design. New features. New technologies. All engineered to standards that don’t even exist yet.” I won’t go into all the new features because Apple obviously can do a better job than me, but I will give a little insight..like pictures. Now with new technology, you know there will be a few bumps, so I suggest waiting for the second generation before hopping the bandwagon. And with that said…I’m still pretty popular on the street lol.

I meant to post this the day I saw it but it completely slipped my mind and definitely shouldn’t have because it’s my new favorite video. I’ve been an Atmosphere fan ever since Overcast! and it feels great to see these guys get in the position I always felt they should be in. Here is the video for Atmosphere’s hit single You. Dope finger work on the Tech Decks!

Exactly.

This is pretty short, but very very dope. This guy’s “aging” process is created digitally. When I see things like this I can’t help but be wow’d at how far technology has come and will continue to go. Obviously some leaps have to be made before we accomplish “photo-realism”, but I must say that we’re definitely getting these step by step. Anyway, I hope ya’ll have a good time watching this.

Exacto.

So the video for The Cool Kid’s fresh song Delivery Man has dropped. I’m still not sold on the hook to this song, but I like the video a lot. Plenty nice visuals to be seen in it. As usual, Chuck & Mikey are fresh and my favorite scene is the circular thingy with the balloon thingies, lol. Ya’ll know what I’m talking about. Anywho, give it a looky…

One of my favorite up and coming artists Theo rocked my favorite joint of his Sweetest Language at his CD release party for “The Birth” which you can pick up RIGHT CHEA if you don’t have it already. This performance is pretty fly, and I’d like to send much love to Theo for all the moves he’s making and how much he’s accomplishing, keep doing your thang thang! I see you, getting your live band on lol! Also, I gotta throw ANOTHER shameless plug out there. Our good man Theo here is featured on Your New Favorite Mixtape, so if you haven’t downloaded it, PLEASE DO!

Ok, I know this is “old” but this is my shit and since we didn’t post it I figured I would throw it up. Dom Kennedy is easily one of my favorites coming out these days. This joint is actually on Dom Kennedy’s 25th Hour Mixtape so if you haven’t downloaded it yet then you might wanna catch up!

Here’s a joint from Ty and Kory off of the first Raw and Bangin Mixtape. There’s a lot of debating going on as to which mixtape is better out of the first or second one, but either way you look at it…these dudes are talented. Brought to you by the good folks of Jack Sample Pros.

Musical Swedish duo The Knife have become growing addiction for me lately. If you aren’t really in the know about these cats then you should definitely check this out. This is a video for their single called Heartbeats, directed by Johannes Nyholm. This is probably one of my favorite videos right now just due to its randomness.

Exactly.

OK, now before you all tell me that this is old….let me just state that it’s only been out for a few weeks, so get over it. Second, I know a lot of people that haven’t heard it yet…and I happen to be that bridge for them. So anyway, this joint really needs no introduction, just look at the fuckin lineup. Produced by Kanye West.

BJ The Chicago Kid is easily one of my favorite new vocalists these days. Here’s a joint that might be old to some but new to the rest of you, and because of that reason we felt it was worth a post. BJ The Chicago Kid’s “Who’s” follows the concept that had Johnny Taylor once asking, “Who’s making love to your old lady while you were out making love?” Check it out, its fresh.

*Ok, to day one fans this post will be a repeat but that was then and this is now.

BJ The Chicago Kid was also featured on Your New Favorite Mixtape with Diz Gibran. So download it if you haven’t already.
