I don’t even UNDERSTAND the technology behind this, its mind-blowing really. Created by James Dyson, the name of it is the Dyson Air Multiplier. Its funny how new inventions always have those “lets name it after exactly what it does” names. If this truly is the future of the house fan, will it eventually replace the original house fan and become the new definition of what a house fan is? I’m sure time will sort all of that out. The simple explanation of what it does states; “There’s a motor in the bottom that powers a turbo-charged impeller. It’s essentially a 3-D fan that gives a good combination of flow and pressure.” For a more detailed description, James Dyson goes in depth HERE!

NEW JOINT: Beanie Sigel - What You Talkin’ Bout (Jay Z Diss)

While I must admit that I didn’t see this coming, listening to it oddly enough seems appropriate. Over the years we’ve gotten glimpses of the man behind the moniker (Shawn Carter) from the various bouts he’s had with people who were at one time considered his right hand guys; Dame Dash, Peedi Peedi, Jaz-O, Tru Life…the list goes on. And now Beanie Sigel has been added to the list. The question is, are these all just cases of jealousy & embitterment, or is there some actual truth behind the rumors. I’d bet on the latter. In this new diss, Beanie states that he still has love for Jay Z, this is just one of those “bring-yo-brother-out-to-the-yard-and-whip-his-ass” moments. Do ya’ll think this is one shot Jay Z will have to respond to? And if he does have to reply, at what capacity? Will he just comment on-air, or will he go full on? If I were Jay Z, I’d use Kanye’s “Big Brother” beat, lol.

VIDEO: Jay Z & Alicia Keys Perform Empire State of Mind @ Yankee’s Stadium

I must say that they KILLED this performance and its definitely as monumental of a performance in Jay Z’s career as his Glastonbury one. As a rap artist, its always an achievement to make a song that’s embraced pretty much across the board. Alicia seemed more prepared to hit them notes on the chorus this time around also. IMO, its safe to say that this is the perfect performance and a testament to the larger than life icon Jay Z has been transforming into over the past few years since his “retirement.” Not to mention, Alicia’s booty is just plain STOOPID! One ironic thing I want to point out is how the World Series sees the Yankee’s facing off with the Phillies, and simultaneously, Beanie just dropped a diss for Jay Z! Its crazy how the stars align sometimes, both outcomes will be worth tuning in for.

Its nice to hear some new material from Lupe that isn’t project rejects. Unfortunately, this joint may be TOO disappointing to fully enjoy. And that isn’t because its wack, quite the opposite, but rather because its a clear reminder of how Lupe can go in over other cats’ beats. And also a clear reminder of Lupe Fiasco stating that he would no longer make any more mixtapes. Personally, I doubt he sticks to his guns indefinitely, but so far he has and that’s just WACK. Another wack thing is that I enjoy this more than the leaks from Lasers. But that’s just me.

In the past year, Michael Jackson has earned $90 million. $72 million, or 80% of the $90 million made in the past year, was made after his passing. How much money did you make this past year? Better yet, how much money did I make this past year? Exactly. Here’s an excerpt from the Billboard.com article:
Jackson earned less than the $350 million that fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent scored in the past year, and the $235 million earned by the songwriting duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein.
Forbes counted money earned from October 2008-October 2009, even for Jackson, who died June 25. But about $72 million — or 80% of the $90 million earned in the past 12 months — came after Jackson’s death, said a spokesperson for GreenLight, a consultancy company that represents “delebs,” their term for dead celebrities still earning money.
On Wednesday, Jackson — along with AEG Entertainment and Sony — began raking in money for next year’s list as the concert-rehearsal documentary “This Is It” opened in 3,500 domestic theaters and around the world.

FREEBIE: Lil’ Wayne - No Ceilings Mixtape

It comes as no surprise that this mixtape was leaked early. With Wayne’s impending incarceration, I’m curious to see how the time leading up to day one will be spent. I’m sure the Cash Money/Young Money camp are brainstorming up all sorts of ideas on how to maximize the Lil’ Wayne brand for this rumored eight month stretch. Its safe to say that Wayne has more than enough music to last the bid, the question is how and when it will be released. Will The Carter 3 be released before he goes in, or during? For some reason, I can’t imagine them waiting til his release day to drop the project. One thing I do know, and this applies to T.I. & Lil’ Wayne, is that their notoriety will increase, their releases from prison will be highly publicized, and their experiences will definitely result in some interesting material. With that said, here’s the first of the last projects we’ll have from Lil’ Wayne before the county comes a’knockin’. Enjoy.

TALKIES: Nowhere Boy (Trailer)

Hanway films is releasing a film based on the early years of John Lennon. It focuses on his growth, his relationship with his mother and aunt, and bandmate Paul McCartney; all things that would push him towards becoming an international icon. British actor Aaron Johnson will play Lennon and Thomas Sangster will play Paul McCartney. Kristin Scott Thomas will play Lennon’s aunt Mimi and Anne-Marie Duff will play Lennon’s mother Julia. I’ve done much reading on the origin of The Beatles, but I admit that I’ve never looked into the origin of the bands individual members, so this movie looks pretty interesting to me. No doubt it will garner much backlash from Beatle/Lennon loyalists, but that’s to be expected whenever you work in the realm of legends. Suffice to say, the people who don’t like the idea of this movie will still watch it. And if there’s any reason why, it’ll be to justify their own criticisms. Enjoy.

Jay Electronica has been pretty quiet lately, aside from writing verses for Diddy I hadn’t really heard anything regarding new music from Jay Electronica. The only thing I had heard was Dear Moleskin and the possibility of an Exhibit B which is the part two of the incredible Exhibit A [Transformations] record he dropped a while back. Well, Just Blaze decided to give out a radio rip of Exhibit C just to let us know that Jay Elect is light years ahead of his competition. Album on the way? Perhaps.

TALKIES: The Fourth Kind (Starring Mila Jovovich, Will Patton)

The Fourth Kind, directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi, is advertised as a movie based on actual case studies and cut with real footage mixed in with the Hollywood shots. I’ve heard a lot about this movie but mostly that it’s really freaky. There are quite a few movies that are going for that “reality” look such as Paranormal Activity and in the past The Blair Witch Project, but it seems like The Fourth Kind takes that concept to the next level. I can’t wait to see what all the hype is on this film.

Expect to hear a lot of noise comin out of the Pushaz Ink camp very soon. Ever since YG got picked up by Island/Def Jam I’ve been seeing people talk about him more and more so it’s only necessary that we should get new music from the entire movement that’s going on right now.
