Can I say this is a sigh of relief? Honestly, this is the first song from this project that I actually DIG! UMC is cool, but this is just refreshing. I’d expect nothing less from a Common & Cee-lo collaboration, they always come through because of their dope chemistry *pause*. I’m hoping this becomes one of the singles, but considering what has dropped so far, I’m skeptical. Anyway, here’s a new joint from Universal Mind Control.

Street Fighter the movie was probably the worst movie based on a video game that was ever created. But, there were a few joints on the soundtrack that get a definite shout. Remember Come Widdit with Ras Kass, Saafir and Ahmad? What about this joint from The Pharcyde called Pandamonium? Damn, Delicious Vinyl was killin em back in the day! Memories….

I find it odd that with all the leakage that’s happening with albums, Hip Hop albums in particular, why hasn’t much leaked from Common’s upcoming release. Could it be that people aren’t anticipating it? Or are they being extra careful with the files and making sure they don’t get into anyone’s hands other than the people who’re actually working on the project. Hmmm, something to ponder. Anyway, here’s a new one from Common featuring Ye & Pharrell…its cool.

TRUE: George W. Bush Pardons John Forte

After being sentenced to jail for 14 years for trying to move over 5 kilograms of ice cocaine John Forte just received a pardon from George Bush and it’s reported that he will be released on December 22nd.
Rapper-producer, John Forte is one of sixteen people who have received a reduced sentence or a pardon from US President George Bush.
Forte was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being convicted of aiding and abetting possession with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.
Forte released two solo albums, Poly Sci and I, John as well as produced and appeared on The Fugee’s multi-platinum and Grammy-winning 1996 album, The Score.
Forte will be released from jail on December 22nd and will face five years of supervised probation.
Senator Orrin Hatch, singer Carly Simon and her son James, were among the people who advocated for Forte’s release.
“Now is the perfect opportunity for John to be given the chance to provide positive benefits to society through his considerable musical talents,” Hatch wrote to Bush in a January 2007 letter.
Forte was one of two inmates who received reduced sentences. Bush pardoned 14 others.
It seems George W. understands the need for good nose candy…
