FANFARE: Happy Birthday Solange!

Last night Solange celebrated her 22nd birthday up in the infamous Hollywood Hills and although it was a star studded event, it was far from “hollywood”. Hosted by her big sister Beyonce with DJ Samantha Ronson on the decks and Star Trek’s newest sensation Chester French setting up for their performance, I must admit most of my time was spent next to the chef who had prepared a wonderful meal involving brisket, salmon, bbq chicken, greens, macaroni & cheese, salad and cornbread (by the way, the bbq chicken was slamming). There was an open bar with tons of alcohol, including champaign…yet they weren’t able to make me a Long Island Iced T, so I tried to keep it calm and settled for a Bay Breeze. Solange looked as radiant as she should have and got DOWN on the dance floor during the Soul Train line portion of the party. I managed to slide down the line doing my signature worm and I even enjoyed a nice booty bump with her big sister at the end. In any case, I wish you all could have been there and Happy 22nd to Solange!

    Yeah, I had a ball. Don’t worry, everyone will have an opportunity to attend something extravagant at least once in their lives.
