So, first I heard Traffic Stop which was dope. Then I started reading the articles and message boards, and a lot of folks were bashing this new wave of hip hop dubbed Hipster-Hop. Now there are definitely a few of those artists that aren’t that fly, but this kid Teyana Taylor is pretty FRESH. Some would argue that she is an “image”, and not really “hip hop”. But the fact is, even hip hop ain’t really hip hop these days. Good or Bad? Not too sure, but it definitely opens the window of influence again. For a while, hip hop was incredibly boring. With everyone rapping about the same shit, it was no longer fun to be involved in it anymore. But the youth of today are getting influences from other cultures and lifestyles. Which influences the music they listen to, or in this case the music they create. It actually makes me look forward to the future of hip hop, because the youth are starting to get a little pull in this industry which is dope. Cause you niggas were getting WAY to serious! Michael Jackson.
